楊曉陽，1958年出生于陜西西安，1979年考入西安美術(shù)學(xué)院國畫系，1983年畢業(yè)，同年考上研究生。1986年畢業(yè)并留校任教。曾任西安美術(shù)學(xué)院國畫系副主任、主任。1994年出任西安美術(shù)學(xué)院副院長，1995年主持全院工作，1997年任西安美術(shù)學(xué)院院長、教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，2009年調(diào)任中國國家畫院院長。
Yang Xiaoyang was born in 1958 in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. He was admitted to the Department of Chinese Painting of the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1979, graduated in 1983 and began his postgraduate study there in the same year. After graduation in 1986, he worked as a lecturer. Later, he served as the deputy director and director of the Department of Chinese Painting, the vice president in 1994 and acting president of the Academy in 1995. In 1997, he became the president, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Academy. In 2009, he was transferred to be the president of the China National Academy of Painting.
